Kai'to has dedicated his life to an unbridled love and passion of the ocean and its calming, freeing and perfect waves. At every opportunity, he can be found surfing the waves with his best friends, his mornings often begin with coffee and watching the sun rise as they paddle out before the rest of the world has awoken. Kai has been surfing since he was a kid, always on the hunt for the perfect set, the perfect sun, and the perfect barrel.On shore he enjoys bbq’s, beers with his friends and swimming in the crystal blue waters of his favorite beach; the surfboard always an extension of his arm and never usually leaves his side when he's spending a day at the beach, and would usually sit on his board in the sand looking out to the Ocean. A lifelong ambition is to one day surf on the other side of Eorzea this is something that he plans to do real soon.
He often feels he has the skills and assets to perform to the best of his ability, wether it's showing off for enjoying the vibe for simple pleasure.Kai'to fell in love with surfing from a young age and has kept up with it ever since, having fun as a child by jumping out onto a small local beach break and entering a few local tournaments and scoring competitions. Along the way, he has made multiple friends who he can now go to a local surfing club in the Costa Del Sol during vacations to try and push himself to the next level of tricks. Nothing more relaxing than the sea breeze and the calm waves in the sunset on a clear day, or a wilder wave as the tide begins to close in or out in the evenings. Kai'to never skips a chance to hone his skills by trying out new and more challenging tricks, as each wave is different and offers a unique opportunity to grow and develop as a surfer.Every single Surfer has a unique style and set of stunts and tricks that they can perform, that’s why a surfer ought to appreciate every single barrel ride, whether it is a steep tube, or a perfect round barrel. Making friends along the way he eventually joined a local club in the Costa Del Sol. Kai'to also surfs in Kugane, where he lives, when he cannot travel to the Costa Del Sol for regular meet ups with friends or he just fancies a quick dip in the ocean. He had spent years learning and mastering the basics of surfing such as paddling, duck diving, popping up and trimming and has now advanced into more complex and sophisticated wave riding moves. His main trick is the Superman, an aerial manoeuvre in which the surfer drives his surfboard down the line, goes up, kick the board, projects it to the beach, grabs the rail, and reconnects before landing, followed up by a tube trick - the ultimate surfing trick. Kai'to says that riding the hollow part of the waves, fully covered by the curl's lip, is the mother of all manoeuvres in surfing, claiming it to be the greatest moment in a surfer's life and he appreciates everyone's attempt at it.
